Well this is really just a little bit special, and frankly we're tempted to hide it round the back and keep it!
Any bike meet you go to, you'll probably see a handful of green Eddie Lawson reps, but rarely (ever??) will you see a ZRX1200R in the Lawson stripes but in silver and grey. It really stands out from the crowd, and that's before you even touch on its time-warp, original condition. The paint is delicious, it has the original pipe, the rear hanger hasn't been cut up or replaced and even things like the downpipes and fasteners are in remarkable condition.
Having covered only 5000 miles in its 22 years, and enjoyed by just 3 owners, this lovely old school bruiser has got 10 stamps in its book and has been lovingly prepared for sale. The bike had been stood a while and the fuelling was a little off when it came in so the carbs have been rebuilt, and along with fitting a new OEM fuel tap the bike is now purring. We've also given it a new MOT (no advisories), a fresh service and brake fluid, and it has been put through our usual 60 point PDI with green ticks on all items.
The road test has confirmed it rides fantastically well too, it's not just a looker, this one talks the talk too. It starts well, comes off the choke nice and easily after cold start, the carb rebuild has been done properly and the ride is lovely. We honestly don't think you could find a better riding example.
Along with the stamped service book, we also have a stack of old invoices and MOTs, 2 keys and the original Kawasaki branded wallet complete with the original salesman's business card from Cradley Kawasaki!
This 22 year old machine will even be sold with a 6 month warranty, upgradeable and extendable through our warranty partners, WSG.
Not the cheapest in the UK, in fact it's probably the most expensive. But hey, it's got 5000 miles, low owners, the rare (and best?) colour scheme and is in fantastic original condition. Opportunities like this are few and far between, don't miss it.
