Revellion are incredibly proud to offer for sale this wonderful 1981 Honda CBX1000, which has been the subject of a lengthy, very meticulous, fully photographed, ground-up restoration.
The CBX1000 is widely regarded as one of the most impressive motorcycles of all time. Inspired by the race bikes of the 60s, it was the fastest and most powerful production bike in the world when it launched in 1978.
And what an example this one is. Presented in as lovely condition as you could ask for, it is cosmetically glorious and mechanically fantastic.
With the bike comes a stack of paperwork, mostly containing receipts and invoices relating to the restoration. Alongside that, we have an extensive library of digital photos that demonstrate just how detailed the restoration was, all the way down to the bare chassis, individual components and fully stripped engine. The bike is now for sale through Revellion as the current owner has decided he needs something just a little more modern that he can use as a daily ride.
This wonderful CBX will be sold having gone through a very thorough 60 point pre-delivery inspection, courtesy of our hugely experienced friends at DB Moto in Thirsk. It also has two keys on CBX-branded keyrings, owners manuals, and will come with a 6 month warranty covering a substantial list of parts, which is extendable for up to 2 years. Details on request.
We also have a zero mileage odometer and speedo unit which the buyer will have the option of having installed prior to sale, for that fresh bike feeling.
The bike was last serviced in November 2024 at Dawsons Classic Motorcycles in York, which included oil and filter, fresh brake fluid, electrics and charging check and a general checkover.
